A lot of clients arrive at their first appointment expecting to just point at a treatment name and sit down. That's not how it works here — and honestly, that's the point. Here's what actually happens before a single product touches your hair.
We start with your hair's history
Colour, previous treatments, chemical processing, how often you heat style — all of it changes how your hair will respond to a smoothing treatment. I ask about this first because it rules certain options in or out before we've even talked about what you want.
Then we talk about your goals
"Smoother hair" means different things to different people. Some clients want zero frizz and maximum straightness. Others want to keep their natural wave but lose the frizz. That distinction changes which treatment makes sense — nanoplastia and hair botox preserve more natural movement than a full keratin or Japanese straightening treatment would.
A visual and physical assessment
I look at density, porosity, and current condition — not just the ends, the whole length. Fine, previously coloured hair gets treated differently than thick, virgin hair, even if the end goal sounds the same.
Then, and only then, a recommendation
By this point I usually already know which treatment fits, but I walk you through the reasoning — why this one over that one, what results to expect, and how long they'll last. If a patch test is warranted, we arrange that here too.
It typically adds 15–20 minutes to your first visit. It's the reason a treatment booked here isn't a guess.
